La School of Humanities (SoH) perteneciente a la Universidad Nanyang Technological de Singapur (NTU Singapore) está buscando un candidato o una candidata para cubrir el puesto de Profesor/a de árabe por un periodo de tres años con posibilidad de renovar el contrato.
La persona seleccionada debe ser capaz de ofrecer cursos de árabe desde nivel inicial hasta los niveles más avanzados y debe poseer experiencia docente, en diseño curricular, desarrollo de materiales multimedia así como conocimiento sobre el uso de las herramientas TIC en la enseñanza de idiomas.
Criterios de selección:
- Estar en posesión de uno o más títulos en: adquisición de segundas lengias, lingüística árabe, enseñanza del árabe como segunda lengua.
- Poseer un nivel nativo (oral y escrito) de árabe.
- Tener experiencia (y excelencia) en la enseñanza de árabe.
- Tener experiencia en el desarrollo de materiales de lengua árabe, incluyendo materiales para la enseñanza online.
- Experiencia en el ámbito multimedia y en teconologías informáticas.
- Habilidad para coordinar cursos.
- Buen conocimiento de inglés.

Lecturer in Arabic (3 years renewable contract)
We are seeking an experienced lecturer capable of teaching introductory to advanced Arabic to tertiary students. Knowledge in current trends in second/foreign language teaching methodologies is preferred. Candidates should have proven track-record in teaching, curriculum design, multimedia course materials development and knowledge of new technologies in language instruction. The position is offered on a three-year renewable contract basis.
Selection Criteria:
- Postgraduate qualification in one or more of: Second Language Acquisition, Arabic Linguistics, Teaching Arabic as a Second Language
• Native proficiency in written and spoken Arabic
• Experience and demonstrated excellence in teaching Arabic preferably at tertiary level
• Experience in developing Arabic language materials, including e-learning materials
• Experience with multimedia and computer-based instructional technologies
• Ability to coordinate large courses
• Good command of English
